Feed My Sheep 2009

In 1996, founders George and Teresa Huggins answered a heartfelt call to reach out to others and build an event that would fill a void for the lonely and less fortunate, while reaching across lines and uniting the Muncie community. Joined by a host of gracious, loving, and giving donors and volunteers, the Harvest Celebration Thanksgiving Day Dinner has grown to become a tremendous expression of the generous "spirit of community" very much alive in Muncie.

 

       The event feeds nearly 600 area residents, with 400 meals delivered and 200 meals distributed in the high school cafeteria. In addition to the meals prepared and distributed by Feed My Sheep, families receive a bag of groceries containing boxed and canned food items- allowing goodwill to be extended past Thanksgiving Day.
